Woodbourn Christmas News
It seems the festive season has merged with the show season as we move well into December. Woodbourn wishes all those interested in Murray Grey cattle the very best of Christmases and good, healthy, happy and productive times in 2010. Attached are some photos from the show season and one young bull in particular that had a wonderful run will be offered this year as part of the Woodbourn sale team.
Not only did Woodbourn show cattle in a number of major Tasmanian shows but Charles also enjoyed judging at the Royal Hobart Show in October.
Other successes Woodbourn feels proud to be associated with are those of the Gadgarra Stud in Far North Queensland, where John Contarino and Terry Leary did so well with Woodbourn bloodlines. A full coverage with photos will be printed in the 2010 Woodbourn Sale catalogue, which should be in your mail box early April. If you require a catalogue please let us know.
In the interim, all the 'D' male calves' EBV's are on the Murray Grey web site for you to see. We are scanning in the first week of January 2010 and hopefully those carcase EBV's will be up soon after.
There are 45 bulls listed from which Woodbourn will select a team of approximately 30 of the best. They all are looking magnificent and it will be difficult to choose a reduced number from them. There are new bloodlines in the team this year, as you will see when you read the web site.
Do not forget that Woodbourn is now MN3. Woodbourn bulls are also BVDV tested, parent verified, Leptospirosis and Vibriosis vaccinated and all Woodbourn sale cattle are registered with the Murray Grey Society, all cattle are preg tested and/or vet checked and lastly please remember Woodbourn's very generous freight assistance (see Woodbourn catalogue for details).
